Our recommended activities, as endorsed by our previous guests:

The most efficient and comfortable way to get a quick overview of what to do in this area is to take a one hour flight with our Super Cub, IDA. This way you will have a great view of all the golf courses, restaurants, beaches and other highlights like the Viking village, Amber Museum, harbours and all of IDA’s friends’ airstrips and activities – e.g. Mikael Carlsson’s Aerodrom.

Over Malmo there are great views across the Oresund bridge and of Santiago Calatrava’s Turning Torso on Malmo’s west harbour - an area becoming ever more architecturally interesting in its own right. A visit to the area should include one or more days in Copenhagen and Denmark. You can drive north in Sweden and cross over Helsingborg to Hamlet’s home town Helsingor with a ferry. The Louisiana Art Museum is only a short drive south. After your visit there continue further south for a light lunch in the sun at Rungsted harbour or in the very traditional village of Dragor, south of Copenhagen. A stroll along Stroget, ending with a beer in Nyhavn, is of course a must, and then why not relax and enjoy a one hour trip around Copenhagen's beautiful harbour and canals on one of the sightseeing boats departing from Nyhavn. (Of course they make a quick stop at the Little Mermaid). If you travel with kids you don't want to miss a day at Tivoli Copenhagen , this icon park has plenty of good restaurants and rides. In the evening, your drive back to the farm through the tunnel and over the Oresund bridge will be a great ending to a full and rewarding day.

Another drive along the Swedish south coast to the eastern part of Scania (called Osterlen) is also recommended. This area is a haven for Swedish and international tourists during the summer months. You will pass through the southernmost tip of Sweden, Smygehuk.

Locally you should visit Angavallens ecologic (organic) restaurant, within walking distance of Fridhem Gaard.

In Hollviken have a beer or two at the quaint William Shakespeare Pub - as English as they get. Millennium Pub and restaurant across the road has a popular night club - and great food. Other culinary highlights are Hedmans Krog and Idala Gard, north and east of Trelleborg, as well as the excellent fish restaurant Rogeriet, at Skanor harbour.

For local transport, please make use of our complementary bikes - or take a taxi to the village from the farm – for only 70 SEK.

Have fun and enjoy your stay, Sally & Anders

The Falsterbo peninsula has a rich diversity in flora, fauna and geographic outlay. Most of the beaches are white fine sand and a pleasure to walk on and swim from.
